Alliance grows Dubai sales for Excite
By admin

The number of hotel bookings received by Excite Holidays for Dubai has risen sharply on the back of the Qantas-Emirates alliance which commenced in April this year.

The company reported average monthly growth of 12.3% in the number of hotel stays and 29% in activities since the tie-up began, with the Dubai desert safari now its number seven activity overall.

"Dubai is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world and caters for business and leisure travellers alike," general manager Joe Karbo said.

"Their world class engineering projects like the Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah and the Burj Dubai Tower, their spectacular, luxurious five-star hotels, beautiful Arabic architecture and warm climate all combine to make the city a must-see location."

Unrest in neighbouring Gulf countries is also benefiting tourism to Dubai, with travellers considering the Emirate a "safe destination", according to the firm.

Meanwhile, European bookings have also seen an uplift from the alliance, with Dubai becoming a popular stopover route for travellers heading to the continent.
