The challenge for the industry is… Competing with the internet – agents must continue to prove they’re much better value over online booking websites.

The things I like about my job are… Everything! In particular the rewarding feeling you get when someone says “thank you so much for everything” when they return from their trip.

And the frustrations… Doing bookings for Mum.

If I didn’t work in travel I would be… A chef or winemaker.

Qantas or Virgin? Qantas.

My proudest moment was… Winning Rookie of the Year at the National Tourism Industry Awards 2013!

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… Fill my car up with $20.02 worth of petrol, then paid cash so I got a two-cent discount. Yep, I’m a rebel.

I relax by… Watching a movie with friends or listening to music.

The last time I feared for my life… Eating KFC in Cambodia, I’m not sure what the ‘C’ stands for over there…

If I can, I always try to avoid… Snakes.

I really wish I had… More time!

The best advice I’ve ever received was… Each day only comes once in a lifetime, so make the most of it.

I don’t understand why… Everyone rushes to line up at the gate when a flight starts boarding. We’re all going to the same place at the same time, the plane won’t leave without you, nobody is going to steal your seat, so chill out!

My greatest weakness is… Saying “yes” to everything.

And my greatest strength… My friendly and easy-going nature.

If I was prime minister I would… Fly to the US and shoot some hoops with Obama.

If I won $1 million on the lottery I would… Take all my friends and family on a massive overseas trip.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be… Superman, so I can fly around the world for free.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Egypt and Jordan, I’m fascinated with the rich history and ancient architecture.

My favourite holiday was… Canada and America last December – it was a winter wonderland!
