Edited by Travel Weekly

APT has launched its Australia 2025 program, showcasing two brand-new cruising experiences and a $5m refurbishment of APT’s exclusive Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge.

The highlight of 2025 is Seabourn Pursuit, a purpose-built ultra-luxury ship offering all-veranda suites, exceptional dining and a dedicated Expedition Team for an unparalleled exploration along the Kimberley coast.

Also debuting in 2025 is the PS Australian Star, a luxurious paddle steamer crafted in partnership with Murray River Paddlesteamers.

Locally built in Mildura, this wood-fired, five-star vessel promises an unforgettable journey along the tranquil Murray River, complete with three decks and exquisite amenities such as the Randell dining restaurant and Hopwood Lounge.

For the rev heads, APT’s 4WD adventures in the Kimberley and Outback offer diverse ways to experience Australia’s iconic sights, led by expert driver-guides in custom-designed vehicles in the Kimberly and Far North Queensland.

Cher Lontok, head of product for Australia at APT, expressed excitement about the program.

“With APT marking 60 incredible years of exploration in the Australian Outback and nearly 100 years of operation, guests can trust they’re in expert hands when they choose us,” Lontok said.

“From remote adventures exploring the Kimberley aboard the luxurious Seabourn Pursuit, to visits at the newly revamped Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge, and the debut of our new itineraries aboard the five-star luxury PS Australian Star sailing the Murray, along with captivating tours of Tasmania and the lush beauty of tropical Queensland, there’s an adventure crafted for everyone across Australia’s most mesmerising regions.

“And what sets APT apart is that we’re the only company offering the seamless combination of Kimberley cruises with our land journeys, ensuring an adventure like no other.”

The Australia 2025 program also features small-group journeys, personalised service from expert guides, best-in-class fleet vehicles, exclusive wilderness lodges, and a commitment to advanced ecotourism practices.
