A&K launches 10th edition of its domestic portfolio

G Adventures further suspends tours to include September departures
Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, G Adventures has further suspended tours departing up to and including 30 September 2020, as well as the 21 October 2020 departure of its G Expedition ship. This comes with the exception of 21 departures which are operating in Europe for travel that is possible between certain countries.
The tour operator is not suspending tours beyond September 30 so as to keep the door open in the event the current situation evolves in a way that enables us to travel again.
G Adventures is notifying all travellers regarding tour suspensions and advising travellers with flight bookings to contact their insurance/air providers for details on compensation.

APT’s Complete 2021 Europe season now open for bookings
Travel agents can now book clients on all of APT’s luxury European river cruise and land journeys for 2021, with the travel operator announcing the launch of its full program of itineraries across Europe.
Responding to the current climate, the company has implemented further measures to provide guests with the confidence to book.
For any new international bookings made between now and 30 September 2020, the company has reduced deposit amounts to $500 per person, as well adjusting the final payment deadline to cancel, change or amend the booking up to 65 days prior, for added peace of mind.
There are over 60 itineraries available for sale including APT’s flagship 15-day Magnificent Europe river cruise with prices starting from $6,995 per person, inclusive of return economy flights to Europe for bookings made by 31 August 2020.
Also featuring for 2021 is the eight-day Balkan Explorer cruising the Danube River in total luxury aboard the MS AmaMagna, pausing along the way to explore riverside towns in Hungary, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria. The trip is priced from $5,995 per person, twin share plus the special airfare deal of $995 including taxes when booked by 31 August 2002.
APT continues its successful partnership with Qantas by once again offer Qantas Frequent Flyer members the ability to earn Qantas Points when booking APT holidays. Guests can earn two Qantas Points per $1 spent on APT holidays, which include a luxury river cruise of seven nights or more, and can also earn one Qantas Point per $1 spent on all other APT holidays.
The Treadright Foundation features the power of Indigenous storytelling
The TreadRight Foundation has released a short film featuring its ‘People’ ambassador, Sarain Fox (Anishinaabe).
As many Aussie travellers are exploring our own backyards and with the pent-up return of travel, the short film highlights the critical role that Indigenous stories and knowledge play in truly appreciating a place and its people, especially in Canada.
Set in Ottawa, Canada’s capital and unceded Algonquin, Anishinabek territory, the short film features The Canadian Museum of History on the banks of the Ottawa River ,which was originally a place of trade for hundreds of Indigenous Nations. The video can be found on TreadRight’s YouTube channel.
Agents can now sell Discover Queensland holidays
To mark the Queensland borders re-opening this month, Discover Queensland has for the first time in its 10-plus year history opened sales to the Australian travel trade.
Agents can now sell any of the ‘Hot Deals’ packages and earn an introductory eight per cent commission at the time of payment.
Discover Queensland has simplified the booking process for agents with three easy steps, and support is available through the company’s Gold Coast-based reservations centre.
