One week left to submit nominations for Cruise Industry Awards

The countdown to the 20th Cruise Industry Awards has begun, with just one week left for travel agents to submit nominations ahead of the cruise industry’s biggest night of celebration.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia will accept award nominations up to 11.59pm on Wednesday November 30, before the judging process begins. Winners will be announced at a gala celebration on March 11.

CLIA managing director Australasia Joel Katz said this year’s awards were an open field and that nobody should rule themself out.

“Every entrant is a strong contender this year and no effort is too humble,” Katz said.

“We’re not simply celebrating sales – this year’s awards are all about recognising the strength, resilience and ingenuity of our travel agent community and so we want to hear people’s stories.”

Eighteen categories will be judged, including 11 open for self-nomination or peer-nomination.

“We want as many nominations as possible in these last remaining days – we’re looking for every CLIA travel agent who deserves recognition for their efforts,” Katz said.

“We want to hear about their cruise promotions, their Cruise Month campaigns, or the Rising Star working in their team.”

CLIA’s 20th Cruise Industry Awards will be announced on March 11 at Sydney’s Luna Park Big Top, where entertainer Tim Campbell will return as host.

The awards are open to all current CLIA members in Australia and New Zealand. To nominate, visit CLIA Cruise Industry Awards.
