From Olympians to mindset coaches, Helloworld’s OMC conference wraps in style
Edited by Travel Weekly

The 2024 Helloworld Travel Owner Managers Conference (OMC) has wrapped up in style in Sydney with more than 550 attendees in attendance.

The event brought together Helloworld owner-managers from across Australia and New Zealand along with valued supplier partners, special guest speakers, senior management and staff for three days of conferencing, insightful content and events across the city.

The theme ‘A World of Opportunity’ was reinforced through all the content from the announcements of new wholesale partnerships, enhanced technology advancements, better commercial agreements and keynote speakers emphasizing how to harness opportunity.

Held by day at the Hyatt Regency, the conference was not short on exciting nighttime activity with a Welcome event on the harbour aboard Starship Sydney that kicked off the conference with style as delegates enjoyed not only breathtaking harbour views but an amazing fireworks display!

Opened by CEO and managing director of Helloworld Travel, Andrew Burnes AO, the impressive line-up of special guest speakers included Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson, Olympic great Grant Hackett, Carman’s Fine Foods founder Carolyn Cresswell and Ash Barty’s mindset coach Ben Crowe.

Day one concluded with Dine Around, an evening with delegates sampling some of the very best that Sydney has to offer at luxury restaurants around the city.

The conferencing continued Saturday with more speakers, business insight from Helloworld Travel senior executives and of course, plenty of time to hear from the more than 140 supplier partners in attendance as the networking lounges were popular with all the delegates as were the amazing prizes on offer.

The conference concluded in incredible style with a Gala Dinner, sponsored by Qantas and held at the Overseas Passenger Terminal. Guests were treated to an exclusive event as the space was transformed for the evening and were surprised and delighted by the famous Qantas choir for opening entertainment.

After the meal the dance floor beckoned as delegates enjoyed the band and danced the night away.
