Who really won The Bachelor?

Who really won The Bachelor?

The Bachelor is over for another year and while rumours of break-ups and pregnancy surround the outcome, the real winner has been South Africa.

The reality TV show showcased the destination by filming its final two episodes in South Africa, visiting Cape Town and Pilanesburg Game Reserve.

South Africa Tourism is promoting a 6-day romance package to follow in the love-lorn footsteps of The Bachelor.

“The Romance of South Africa Package along with our other romance packages truly offer travelers the perfect balance of sun, safari and city; where six days of luxury, wildlife, adventure and world-class food and wine await,” South Africa Tourism country manager Lalie Ngozi said.

South African Airways (SAA) partnered with South African Tourism to support The Bachelor during filming.

"Being able to host The Bachelor crew on board SAA flights from Australia to South Africa was a huge privilege for our airline. This is one of the biggest logistical events of its type we've been involved with, but it all went very smoothly from start to finish,”  SAA regional manager Australasia Tim Clyde-Smith said.

"We are all as excited as any Aussie to watch The Bachelor Australia in South Africa and we've been fortunate to play our part in helping deliver two incredible final episodes of the show," Clyde-Smith said.

The 6-day romance package is priced from $2170 per person with couples starting their holiday in Pilanesburg Game Reserve, characterised by volcanic mountains and savannah grasslands.

Travelers can spot the Big Five on safari before returning to Ivory Tree Lodge for drinks and dinner under the starry sky.

After three nights of safari, couples will travel to Cape Town, where they'll stay at one of the city’s most iconic luxury hotels, located on the V&A Waterfront, The Table Bay Hotel. Also included is a full-day winelands tour.

Other romantic itineraries include An African Romance, Gourmet Body and Soul South Africa, Honeymoon Heaven and Romance in South Africa.

South African Airways is also offering the perfect match to South African Tourism’s romantic packages with Economy Class return airfares to South Africa for only $1,575 from Perth, $1,586 from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and $1,589 from Adelaide.
