Air New Zealand has confirmed that Cam Wallace has been appointed to the role of chief sales and commercial officer, replacing Norm Thompson who retires in December.

Wallace, currently in the role of group general manager New Zealand and Pacific Islands, will assume the new position on January 1.

 

Greenhills Travel Centre in Maitland, New South Wales has become the newest member of the Travellers Choice network of independent travel agents.

The introduction of the agency, launched by Warwick Gladman in 1995, to the network follows that of Mudgee Travel & Cruise and Kilmore Travel & Cruise Centre last month.

“Each of these businesses is well-established, successful and highly-respected in their communities, and as such they are all welcome additions to Travellers Choice’s expanding national network,” chief executive Christian Hunter said.

 

Tourism operators yet to dip their toe into the online world can learn the benefits of the channel in a new tutorial from the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse, part of Version 11 of its Tourism E-kit.

The kit, which has been downloaded more than 540,000 times to date, can be accessed for free from ATDW’s website.

“With the digital landscape changing constantly and quickly, it is critical that the Tourism e kit is updated regularly,” strategic projects manager Wendy Smith said.

These improvements are designed to ensure that the information provided is responsive to recent advancements relating to mobile and other technology changes in the market.”
