Qantas to increase domestic lounge fees by 17% next month
Edited by Travel Weekly

Qantas is set to raise the price of admission to its domestic club lounges by 17 per cent next month, a move not seen in seven years.

As of 18 April, the passengers paying for Qantas Club Memberships will be faced with a significant renewal fee hike which coincides with the 100 million dollar lounge upgrade/renovation the carrier has committed to.

For new members, fees will rise from $699 to $828 (including the $129 joining fee), while current member fees will rise from $540 to $629.

“This is the first time the Qantas Club membership fees have increased in seven years and will help cover cost increases passed on from a range of suppliers over that time,” a Qantas spokesperson told News.com.au.

“This follows a reduction in the membership fees for several years during the pandemic.”

The spokesperson also confirmed the fee changes will not impact Frequent Flyers who receive complimentary access through Points Club Plus or a Gold, Platinum or Platinum One status.

Members have until 18 April to renew at the current prices, I.E. if a membership is set to expire in May, paying it before 18 April will save the relevant difference.
