CLIA Awards changes date to avoid Taylor Swift clash

CLIA Awards changes date to avoid Taylor Swift clash
Edited by Travel Weekly

Australasia’s biggest annual cruise industry celebration has made a deferential bow to Taylor Swift, surrendering the stage in favour of a new date in 2024.

To avoid a clash with Taylor Swift’s February concerts in Sydney and their impact on flight and hotel availability, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has shifted the upcoming 21st Cruise Industry Awards to March 9, 2024.

The event will return to the Star Event Centre in Sydney next year and promises a spectacular celebration for hundreds of CLIA members.

More details on the awards process – including categories and nomination opportunities – will be announced later this year. Tickets will be released in the coming spring.

Check out the winners and grinners of last year’s awards here.
