Virgin Australia drops cheap flights to WA

Virgin Australia has launched its ‘Wander Out West’ sale, offering up to 30 per cent off economy one-way flights to Western Australia.

Kicking off on Monday, the fare sale ends at midnight AEST 14 June unless sold out prior, and applies to select travel dates and destinations between 2 February 2022 and 6 April 2022 (terms and conditions apply, of course).

Virgin fares include baggage, seat selection and Velocity Frequent Flyer points and status credits. The airline continues to offer free booking flexibility until 31 January 2022.

“We understand Aussies more than ever want to explore the amazing tourist destinations right here in our own backyard,” a Virgin spokesperson said.

“That’s why Virgin Australia is excited to announce the Wander out West sale, offering one-way Economy fares to Perth from as low as $149.

“Virgin Australia understands its role in connecting communities and supporting the tourism industry around the country recover from COVID-19, and this sale is proof of that commitment.”

In other Virgin-related news, Youfoodz customers who link their Velocity Frequent Flyer membership can eat and earn two Velocity points for every $1 spent online (minimum spend is $49, excluding delivery) until 30 June 2021.

Plus, Youfoodz customers can score 1,000 bonus points the first time they earn Velocity points with the pre-made meal specialist.
