SATC unveils not one, but two new marketing campaigns
South Australia has ramped up its tourism efforts with the launch of two new marketing campaigns to get travellers on the move again – both within, and to, the state.
The new campaigns include the next iteration of the South Australian Tourism Commission’s ‘Welcome Back’ campaign, and the first interstate campaign to actively drive visitors to the state since the pandemic reached Australian shores.
Check out the TVCs for each below:

WA teams up with Virgin and RAC
The Western Australian government and Virgin Australia have partnered to deliver cheaper fares and more flights to two of the state’s key travel destinations, Broome and Kununurra.
Western Australians who book one of the nearly 8,000 discounted tickets will be able to fly to Broome for $199 one way and Kununurra $229 one way from 3 August 2020 to 31 October 2020, with tickets on sale now.
The deal also applies for flights from Broome and Kununurra to Perth, providing Kimberley residents travelling to the state capital with the same benefits as visitors heading north.
Additionally, Western Australia’s holiday experiences will be on show to more than 900,000 members of the state’s Royal Automobile Club (RAC) in a special travel edition of its Horizons magazine.
The partnership between the WA government, through Tourism WA, Tourism Australia and RAC, is part of the ‘Wander out Yonder’ intrastate campaign, providing further encouragement for Western Australians to explore their home state.
The special publication will highlight the amazing range of tourism experiences on offer throughout Western Australia.

Mossman Gorge Centre reopens
Mossman Gorge Centre, the Indigenous eco-tourism development which acts as a gateway to the Mossman Gorge World Heritage site in far North Queensland, has reopened to visitors following a four-month closure.
The decision to close the Centre in March was made following consultation with the Mossman Gorge community, represented by Bamanga Bubu Ngadimunku Aboriginal Corporation, to protect the health and wellbeing of the local Indigenous community and staff at the centre.
Mossman Gorge Centre provides visitor information, showcases the art and craft of the local Kuku Yalanji community in the onsite art gallery and retail store, houses the Mayi café serving a menu of locally sourced produce with a focus on native ingredients, and facilitates shuttle bus transport to the gorge.
