You can now travel the world virtually with Tinder

Tinder has made its Passport feature free to all users, so you can now get creeped out by people from anywhere in the world from the comfort of your own home.

The infamous hook-up app said in a statement it hopes the feature will allow users to “check in” on people in their home town, where they went to university or their sister city across the world.

“If nothing else, you can learn how to say “hey” in another language,” the statement read.

The Passport feature, which is usually a paid feature for Tinder Plus and Gold subscribers, allows users to search by city and drop a pin on the map to choose which part of the world you would like to match with people.

The feature will be available for all users until 30 April, so you’ve got until then to stalk… we mean chat with… your friends, family and old flames who live overseas.

“In these trying times, while we all know we need to stay home, this doesn’t mean we have to be alone with our thoughts. Having someone to talk to can make a world of difference,” Tinder said.

However, given the calibre of the usual conversations that take place on Tinder, the new feature may also take you on an around the world trip of unsolicited images of various people’s downstairs area.
