Entire Travel Group capitalises on Tempo/Bentours collapse with new Melbourne office

Wholesaler Entire Travel Group (ETG) has announced the launch of its first Melbourne office and the appointment of four former employees of Tempo Holidays and Bentours.

Based in the Melbourne suburb of Carnegie, ETG’s Melbourne office will be led by Entire sales director Greg McCallum and includes consultants Viola Attalla, Marianna Errico, James Wyatt, and Nicole Serisier.

McCallum said Entire Travel Group acted quickly and decisively to secure new roles for the four consultants, who collectively offer more than 60 years travel industry experience.

“The sudden demise of Tempo has been devastating for everyone involved – none more so than the company’s loyal and talented consultants,” he said.

“As competitors, we have always respected their team’s specialist knowledge, and we know that their work is valued by the many travel agents who have engaged with them over the years. I’m delighted we can now bring those skills into the Entire Travel Group fold.”

McCallum said the Melbourne team will add a new dimension to ETG’s service proposition by working exclusively with travel agents constructing complex, multi-destination European itineraries.

“At present, our consultants focus only on their one specialist destination – a point of difference that the majority of our customers embrace,” he said.

“It means, however, that when agents have clients travelling to more than one European nation, they interact with multiple specialists.

“Some agents prefer to deal with one consultant for the entire itinerary, and we are now happy to offer that alternative service without any compromise in the quality of advice – a development only made possible by the years of experience our new Melbourne team bring to their roles.”

ETG is not the only company to capitalise on the collapse of Tempo and Bentours, with Nordic specialist tour operator 50 Degrees North unveiling a new brand, NORD Journeys, earlier this month and hiring some former Bentours sales consultants.

The move by ETG comes after Tempo Holidays Pty Ltd (which traded as Tempo and Bentours) was formally placed into liquidation on Monday, Travel Weekly understands.
