Silversea’s new ship to “raise the bar”

Silversea Cruises is bringing the latest member of its family to open waters in April 2017.

The cruise line’s newest baby, Silver Muse, is an ultra-luxury ship being built by Fincantieri, and will accommodate 596 guests.

Marking the evolution of the Silver Spirit, the ship will hope to redefine luxury ocean travel, and pump up the small-ship offerings with spacious suite accommodation that makes up the basis of the Silversea experience.

The addition of the Silver Muse will expand Silversea’s fleet to nine ships, and continues to build upon the cruise line’s product.

“We always had a special relationship with Fincantieri, since my father ordered them the first cruise vessels for Sitmar in 1987,” Silversea’s chariman Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio said.

“Both companies have a clear understanding of what today’s affluent traveller seeks, and each approaches the market with originality, creativity, and quality. The management team led by Giuseppe Bono has been exceptional in managing Silversea’s project and we have also been well supported by SACE.”

Silversea’s ceo Enzo Visone added that sophistication is at the heart of the new ship launch.

“With enhanced design specifications and enriched content, the Silver Muse will continue to build on the sophistication, innovative style and ground-breaking concepts for which Silversea ships are renowned,” Visone said.

“This ship contributes to our ambitious growth plans that will ensure our continued leadership in ultra-luxury cruising.”

Additional details and specifications on the new ship will be announced in the near future.
