Qantas lifts passenger numbers in Sept
By admin

Qantas lifted passenger numbers in September, aided by a pickup in business for its Jetstar and regional airline services.

The number of passengers travelling on its domestic and international services rose 2.7 per cent in the month.

The rise came despite a 3.7 per cent drop in the number of passengers flying Qantas Domestic.

The airline's QantasLink regional airline saw numbers leap by 17.8 per cent.

Jetstar also lifted its numbers by 7.1 per cent.

However Qantas' troubled international arm saw passenger numbers fall two per cent.

The figures were released ahead of Qantas' annual general meeting in Melbourne.
