The essential guide to airport etiquette

By admin

Zuji has swapped safety guide for etiquette guide in a bid to keep passengers classy.

While airports are a place of anticipation and adventure, Airport Etiquette aims to teach plane-goers how not to behave, as a way of keeping the excitement alive for all travellers.

From getting through customs and consuming alcohol, to disembarking the aircraft and getting frisky in the air, Zuji has covered all bases.

Have a read and see if you can add any other rules to the list.

Airport Etiquette

1. Carry on correctly: Beware the heads of fellow passengers as you walk your bulky carry-on down the plane aisle.

2. Keep the noise down: Only you need to hear your music, don’t force it on your neighbour too.

3. Streamline security: If you know it’s going to set off the metal detector, perhaps you can put it in your hand luggage in advance. Save everyone some queue time, yeah?

4. Chat attack: If you’re going to strike up a conversation with the person next to you, watch for any signals that they aren’t interested in one.

5. Everything in moderation: Nobody laughed with Kristen Wigg in Bridesmaids, they laughed at her.

6. Don’t hassle the staff: It’s not nice, and it’s not how you make friends.

7. Armrest accord: Middle chair has dibs. Sorry.

8. The mile-high club is full: Just don’t.

9. Exit in order: If you’re at the back, you get off last. You have to wait for your baggage anyway – what’s the rush?
