The first Airbus A319 in Air Serbia's new livery has touched down in Belgrade where it was met by the airline's new chief executive Dane Kondic.

The renaming of the airline from Jat Airways follows Etihad’s acquisition of a 49% stake, confirmed in August.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline was awarded a five-year management contract for Air Serbia and will inject US$40 million into its transformation, with the sum to be matched by the Government of Serbia. Both parties have committed to providing further funding of up to US$60 million.
