Tourism Australia has appointed Denise von Wald, formerly of Education Adelaide, to the role of Regional General Manager United Kingdom (UK) & Northern Europe to based in its London office, from 26 August 2013.

 

Belarus’ national carrier, Belavia, will place its B2 code on Etihad flights from Minsk to Abu Dhabi and onwards to Ho Chi Minh City, Melbourne and Sydney under a new codeshare agreement, subject to regulatory approval.

Effective June 15, the deal will also see Etihad increase its Abu Dhabi-Minsk service from three weekly flights to a daily schedule and offer onward connections from Minsk to Kiev, Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

 

Etihad has launched a "Meet and Greet" service for guests arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The service, designed to make it easier to collect luggage and pass through Abu Dhabi immigration and customs, can be booked up to 48 hours before travel and is priced from US$38 per person.

 

Alan Joyce’s one-year term as chairman of the International Air Transport Association board of governors has come to an end as Delta chief executive, Richard H. Anderson, took over the role.

Anderson’s term will end at the conclusion of IATA’s 70th annual general meeting which will take place in Doha, Qatar.

 

Travel Agents registered for the Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program can now process bookings through the Expedia mobile app, earning the same commission levels as they would receive from bookings made from their computer.

 

Air Seychelles and Czech Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement to link Prague and the Seychelles.

The partnership enables passengers of the two airlines to book and travel between Prague and the Seychelles on one ticket, connecting in Abu Dhabi.
