Jetstar launches Uluru flights

Jetstar launches Uluru flights

Jetstar has launched flights between Sydney and Uluru today and Tourism Australia has welcomed the reduced cost of travel to the destination.

“With such competitive airfares now available, a trip there is more affordable than ever," Tourism Australia managing director Andrew McEvoy said.

McEvoy said that a trip is increasingly cost-effective thanks to a sale at Voyages resort, following a significant upgrade.

"I’d argue there’s probably not been a better time to visit one of our country’s most iconic destinations and add it to life’s resume,” he said.

Jetstar will operate four weekly flights that replace a Qantas route. Flights will depart Sydney at 10.30am every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, arriving into Ayers Rock at 1.35pm.

“Uluru is a special place and one which every Australian should really try and visit, at least once within their lifetime" McEvoy said.
