WATCH: Giant rat and baby otter run wild and bite crew member on VietJet flight

Chaos was unleashed on a VietJet flight from Thailand to Taiwan after an enormous rat and a baby otter ran wild on the plane, biting cabin crew and generally causing a ruckus.

One passenger noticed a giant albino rat making its way down the aisle as the flight was on its way to Taiwan.

Panicked cabin crew scoured the plane in search of the pesky little rodent, while startled passengers kept themselves off the ground. But this is when the otter made its appearance.

The Sun reported that one passenger said: “I told the cabin crew and they checked the plane.

“That’s when they found the big otter under one of the seats. They kept looking for the white rat and an employee caught the rat.

“It bit them on the hand while they carried it back to the kitchen at the back of the plane.”

An announcement was then made by the crew asking the person who brought the wildlife on the plane to own up.

It turns out the furry little fiends were sneakily brought up into the air by a Chinese passenger who “asked for a refund” after admitting to bringing them onboard, alongside an array of other animals – namely, a box of 28 live turtles.

The crew sought a passenger who can “speak Chinese fluently” to discuss the dilemma with the woman.

An investigation is underway to discover how the woman smuggled the creatures through security at the infamously corrupt Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

The animals were removed from the plane and the turtles are being kept in quarantine with the Taoyuan Branch of the Defense Inspection Department.
