NYC & Company spruiks the big apple with Drag Trivia

The industry was brought together on Friday by NYC & Company at The Winery in Surry Hills, Sydney for drag trivia, hosted by Miss Prada Clutch.

The trivia came alongside presentations by travel representatives from a variety of hotels, airlines and tour companies, including Empire State Building, New York Hilton Midtown, Rockefeller Center, Hotel Beacon, Hudson Yards, Arthouse Hotel, Gray Line City Sightseeing, Air Canada and more spoke about what their brands had to offer.

Now guests would have hoped to be paying attention because following the presentations, as the glamorous host of the trivia quizzed the audience about the presentations. The questions varied from the amount of rooms in one of the hotels, to the different boroughs of New York and even bits and pieces of Friends trivia (who knew it would come in handy).

The travel agents at the event were in the running to score return flights to New York, and a variety of hotel stays and tours – not too bad if you ask us.

R-L: NYC & Company’s Renee Wilson; the winner of a trip to NYC, Planetdweller’s Barry Warner; and Miss Prada Clutch; NYC & Company’s MD Reginald Charlot.

After a rigorous examination of the event-goers, it came down to two. The host quizzed the final two agents, and when a multiple choice question about the amount of rooms in the Arthouse Hotel came up, Planetdweller’s Barry Warner reigned supreme.

The event was also a great opportunity for members of the travel industry to catch up, with agents from around Sydney connecting and reconnecting. Of course, a shot at winning a trip to NYC was also a nice touch.
