MGallery is positioning itself as a destination for arts and culture with its literary collection of events.

Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains is the latest property to host a literary evening with author Toni Jordan, who was in conversation with collaborator the Wheeler Centre.

Starting with canapés and bubbly, the stage was lit with red-glass candles, a brimming bookcase and deep-seat armchairs.

This was followed by an intimate sit-down three course meal. After entrée and main course, Toni Jordan took to the stage.

The conversation was relaxed, as Toni discussed her inspiration, work schedule, self-discipline, draft style and literary heroes.

After the conversation, the audience was forward in asking questions and continuing the dialogue.

Five MGallery hotels around the country are hosting authors to talk to guests over dinner.

They will also stay as part of a residence program and write a short story inspired by the surroundings.

The Literary Collection of short stories will be published into an edition de luxe, and released as an epilogue to the collaboration, exclusively for all MGallery Collection hotels in Australia.

    Here are the upcoming events:
