Air New Zealand to sponsor AFTA’s Women in Travel Summit

Melbourne, Australia - November 8, 2014: Air New Zealand Airbus A320-232 ZK-OJE on approach to land at Melbourne International Airport.

The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) has secured Air New Zealand as major sponsor for the Women in Travel Summit.

The first event in the 2023 membership calendar is in Sydney on March 13. The one day event will showcase the programs and innovations that support the women who drive the industry.

Tickets are on sale now and ATAS businesses and employees will enjoy special discounted pricing for all events including the Women in Travel Summit.

“AFTA are incredibly proud to partner with organisations that invest in nurturing engagement and inclusivity at work for everyone,” AFTA CEO Dean Long.

“Thanks to the generous support of Air New Zealand as major sponsor, AFTA can kick off our face to face events calendar with a bang and I’m pleased that this is only the beginning of our enhanced member engagement program this year.

“As the travel industry peak body, we’re immensely proud that over 70 per cent of the businesses and people we represent are women.

“From C suite to sales and everything in between, this day is all about celebrating the women who support our industry in supporting Australian travellers, and presents an important opportunity to reflect on progress we’ve made and set goals to maintain and foster a truly connected and inclusive travel community.”
