Travellers Choice gets "sticky” with Cruise Club revamp

A “new-look” Cruise Club from Travellers Choice will offer members the ability to sell fully-packaged tailored product in a bid to strengthen relationships with their clients in an increasingly competitive environment.

The offering has been developed specifically for Travellers Choice by specialist wholesaler Cruise Team and represents an evolution of the scheme which first launched in 2006.

The new cruise packages aim to meet consumer needs while giving Travellers Choice members a “competitive edge”, according to chief executive Christian Hunter.

“These are complex and sophisticated products that bring together elements of a cruise holiday – not just the cruise voyage itself – into one attractively-priced, all-inclusive deal,” he said.

“Tailored products also allow our cruise specialist members to differentiate themselves from the competitors offering off-the-shelf deals, and helps create the kind of ‘sticky’ relationships every smart agent is looking to create with valued clients.”

A new tier-targeted incentive program will reward Cruise Club members with bonus commission. They will also be offered the opportunity to join The Cruise Team’s specialist program, at a subsidised rate, which aims to generate sales leads through consumer promotions and advertising.

Travellers Choice will also carry out its own direct mail pieces on behalf of Cruise Club members, described as “highly targeted and personalised” by Hunter.

“By coordinating these campaigns, Travellers Choice is not only saving Cruise Club members considerable time and effort, we are ultimately allowing them to focus on what they do best – selling holidays,” he said.

"Our latest changes will help ensure our national network enjoys a healthy share of the fast-growing cruise sector."
