Travellers Choice reports profitable year
By admin

Travellers Choice has announced a profit of $1.62 million in the last financial year, up 33% on the previous year.

The pre-tax profit comes on the back of a healthy year for the Australian travel industry, with agents reporting strong demand for overseas travel, chief executive Christian Hunter said.

"We have over the past few years worked closely with our member shareholders to reinforce the importance of preferred agreements, and to provide our members with the tools, information and targeted strategies," Hunter said.

The Board has said that 94% of the 2013/14 profit will be distributed back to Travellers Choice members.

All shareholders will receive a 5% unfranked dividend, with the majority of the remaining operating profit distributed through trading rebates.

Traveller’s Choice member shareholders will meet on the Gold Coast in November for the group's Annual General Meeting and 2014 Shareholders’ Conference.
