Topdeck takes teamwork to the next level

Topdeck takes teamwork to the next level
By admin

Topdeck Travel have entered a team of 16 into this year’s Bridge to Brisbane as part of an initiative to encourage employees to be healthy and build on teamwork outside of the office.

The team of 16 will be running the 10km event with plans to look to enter other events.

Top Deck’s Ben Ittensohn told Travel Today that the fitness initiative started at Topdeck as a New Year’s resolution to encourage everyone to work together in achieving health and fitness goals and support our work/life balance focus.

“Our first event was the Gold Coast Fun Run in April, following which we started to set some other goals to collectively work towards.”

Ittensohn added there had been a great groundswell of support within the business, and it’s something they are keen to continue building.

“At any one time there are Topdeck team members out travelling for work so it’s been a great habit to get into not only for when we are all training together, but also when we are off in a different part of the world.”

“Aside from the obvious health and wellness benefits, it’s been great in bringing the team together and adding to the positive culture in the office. Next up, we are tackling the 10km Bridge to Brisbane this Sunday.”
