Vietjet to raise flight frequency to Australia from December

Vietjet has announced it will increase the frequency of direct flights to and from Australia from a total of 20 to 34 each week from December this year.

The additional fights are motivated by the continued increase in demand for travel between Vietnam and Australia and are paired with a number of new deals for travellers.

From 1 December 2023, Vietjet will fly daily from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne with seven return flights per week. As of 5 December 2023, Vietjet will fly daily from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney with seven return flights per week and from 6 December, the carrier will operate three return flights from Ho Chi Minh city to Brisbane. 

To celebrate the upcoming increase in flight frequency to and from major Australian cities, Vietjet is offering a range of exciting promotions for Australian travellers. 

From now until 15 July 2023, passengers can also receive up to 50% discount on SkyBoss fares using the SKYBOSSPROMO50 code and Business class fares using the BUSINESSPROMO50 code when booking through the Vietjet website or mobile app. This code applies to Vietjet’s entire flight network throughout Vietnam and internationally including India, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong (China), Kazakhstan and other Southeast Asian destinations. Travel period is from 1 August to 30 November 2023. 

From now until 31 December 2023, Australians can book one-way tickets to and from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for as low as AUD$200 (including taxes and fees) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays when booking tickets.

In addition, Australian travellers flying with Vietjet to other international destinations and transiting through Ho Chi Minh City are entitled to receive two transit service vouchers valued at approximately AUD$15 each, which can be used for meals at participating restaurants and slots at sleeping zones. 

On top of these promos, flights booked with Vietjet include a Sky Care travel insurance package, which covers medical expenses incurred due to accidents or illnesses (including Covid-19), flight-related problems (including flight delay, baggage delay, baggage loss or damage, lost travel documents), and global travel and medical support services 24/7. 

Travellers can also accumulate points when they sign up for Vietjet’s SkyJoy Loyalty Program, which they can use to redeem rewards for dining, shopping, and resort services from over 250 participating merchants.
