Get your butts on this virtual famil with Port of Seattle and you could win a $200 voucher!

Seattle, USA - July 10th, 2021 The cruise ship Encore of Norwegian Cruise Lines awaits loading at the dock in Seattle. The ship will be headed to Alaska shortly.

While the cruise restart in Australia remains uncertain, Seattle has just marked the completion of a successful shortened 2021 Alaska cruise season.

One sure way to put a toe in that water without catching anything but enthusiasm is to join the Port of Seattle’s virtual fam, ‘Cruise from Seattle and Taste Washington State’, to get an advance peek at the pleasures in store when we can travel – and cruise – once more.

Taking place on 3 November 2021, agents can learn how the port navigated through opening during a pandemic to serve cruise ships to Alaska, and what to expect for their clients who are planning an Alaska cruise in 2022 and beyond.

The fam will take agents from the cruise port to explore the nearby attractions that are so easily reached in Seattle, before sampling some of the trends, tastes and diverse scenery of Washington’s Whidbey & Camano Islands and premier wine region, Walla Walla, which are ideal for pre and post-cruise stays.

Following this whistle-stop tour of Washington’s gems, agents will also have the opportunity to ask questions about the destination and cruise port, and will be invited to enter a quiz for the chance to win a $200 MasterCard gift voucher.

The fam will be hosted by Port of Seattle’s Ron Peck, Whidbey & Camano Islands’ Sherrye Wyatt and InquisiTours’ Guy Glaeser, with the opportunity to learn how to cook fresh mussels Whidbey Island style, with a local chef.

As the premier gateway for Alaska cruises, with over 200 sailings on seven cruise lines scheduled for 2022, Seattle and Washington state are unmissable for a stopover or extended stay.

The state is a unique destination widely acclaimed for its culinary, cultural and geographical diversity.

The event will take place on Wednesday 3 November at 11am (AEDT) and will run for 45 minutes.
