New Rydges airport hotel pops up on the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast just landed its first and only airport hotel from Rydges, and it’s the ultimate beachy intro to the destination.

The 192-room newbuild is a one-minute walk from Gold Coast Airport, five minutes from Ailinga and Kirra beaches, and a short drive to Surfers Paradise, so it’s uniquely positioned for both business and leisure travel.

It features deluxe, premium and executive rooms over seven levels, with facilities for long or short stays designed to reflect the Gold Coast lifestyle, with murals and artworks that show off local flora and beaches.

Rydges Gold Coast Airport hotel also features a 24-hour reception, resort-style swimming pool, fully-equipped gym, free WiFi and undercover parking, and conferencing and event spaces to cater to groups of between 10 and 250 people.

In terms of food and beverage offering, the property offers Runway Restaurant and Bar, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and Salty Fox Rooftop Bar, which offers spectacular views to the east over the ocean and to the west over the tarmac to the hinterland.

Luke Harley, general manager, Rydges Gold Coast Airport Hotel, said: “No other airport hotel in Australia can offer guests a 25-metre resort-style pool, [an] outstanding rooftop bar with uninterrupted ocean and tarmac views – just [a] one-minute walk from the airport terminal – while also being so conveniently located to all the surrounding sights, sounds taste and experiences the Gold Coast and surrounds has to offer.”

To celebrate its opening, the hotel has a range of special introductory rates, like a complimentary upgrade from a concourse deluxe room to a concourse premium room, complete with a welcome drink. Guests can also book a coastal deluxe room and get an upgrade to a coastal premium room.
