Ex-Bachelor Matty J to co-host Luxury Escapes TV show

Former Bachelor star Matty Johnson is joining Sophie Falkiner as the co-host of Network 10 travel show Luxury Escapes: The World’s Best Holidays.

The award-winning 13-part travel series, produced by Luxury Escapes in partnership with Singapore Airlines, returns for a fourth season this year.

The new season, which airs 6pm on Saturdays from 13 July on Network 10, will Johnson and Falkiner explore 19 destinations, including New York, South Africa and Abu Dhabi.

Johnson rose to fame as the leading man in the fifth season of 10’s dating show, The Bachelor Australia, and since then has amassed over 200,000 Instagram fans who follow his travel, relationships, fitness and most recently, fatherhood-related posts.

Commenting on his new role, Johnson said: “I’m such an avid traveller and always ready to explore the next destination, so partnering with Luxury Escapes was a natural fit and an exciting opportunity.

“Working with Luxury Escapes has been such a great opportunity. Not only was I able to fully immerse myself in a destination as the host, I really got to be hands-on with the crew to capture the best of the amazing destinations we visited.

“To top it off, I became a first-time dad halfway through filming the season!”

Cameron Holland, CEO at Luxury Escapes, said: “Season four promises to be bigger, bolder and better than ever.

“I’m delighted to be partnering with Network 10 for its return with a fresh new host line-up, incredible cinematography, plus new and up-and-coming destinations.

“We’ll be featuring a new suite of hotels, cruises and tours, showcasing the best of our own backyard here in Australia and around the world. I’m looking forward to once again inspiring our audience with new ideas and incredible experiences.”
