Plane passenger attempts to board naked, claims clothes make him ‘less aerodynamic’

Yes, you read right: a passenger has stripped off at his boarding gate, saying that clothes made him ‘less aerodynamic’.

Video of the 38-year-old man shows him standing naked as he waits to board a Ural Airlines flight from Russia’s Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.

Reports claim that the naked flyer was nabbed by staff as he ran onto the air-bridge and then detained by police.

One passenger, REN TV report, said: “He shouted that he was naked because clothing impairs the aerodynamics of the body. He flies with more agility when undressed.”

Later in the clip, the passenger is still shown completely naked while handcuffed.

It is not yet known whether the man planned to grow wings and fly alongside the plane, putting his featherless aerodynamics to the test.

Reports said that witnesses claimed the man, originally from the Russian port city of Yakutsk, did not show signs of being drunk.

“After the police had detained the offender, he was taken to the airport’s medical room and then was hospitalized in a medical facility,” the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs press service said.

This strange airline incident comes within a week of reports that an American Airlines passenger had been taken into custody for urinating on a fellow passenger’s luggage.
