The Midweek Interview With InterContinental’s Nicole Cheramie

The Midweek Interview With InterContinental’s Nicole Cheramie

We chew the fat with the delightful Nicole Cheramie, Director of Meetings and Events at InterContinental Sydney.

The challenge for the industry is… the speed at which the market changes

The things I like about my job… is it’s dynamic atmosphere and my team

And the frustrations are… commitment, such as phobe clients

If I didn’t work in travel I would be… A pediatrician

Favourite airline? Qantas

My proudest moment was… having my great-neice named after me

The naughtiest thing I ever did was… hahaha, nice try…

I try to relax by…Going to Balmoral Beach

The last time I feared for my life was… when I was swimming in the ocean and a piece of seaweed felt exactly like a shark rubbing against my leg… about 2 weeks ago!

If I can, I always try to avoid… negative people

I really wish I had… my Camino de Santiago hike on the books

The best advice I’ve ever received was…”You’re very talented…just watch your mouth”

I don’t understand why people… don’t send me flowers more often

My greatest weakness is… that I am very direct.  Very.

And my greatest strength is… inspiring others

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would…donate quite a bit to Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Then, have a grand celebration at InterContinental Sydney and fly my family in from the States.

If I was prime minister I would…implement pay equity for men and women.

If I could be someone else for one day I would be a… Doctor

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Norway to see the Northern Lights

My favourite holiday was…/is my Birthday – 15 March in case you wanted to send flowers…
