Helloworld says G’day USA

Helloworld senior leadership members Cinzia Burnes and Gregory Lording were among the many Aussies in LA for the recent G’Day USA program of events, celebrating the ongoing successful and varied collaborations between the US and Australia.

Now in its thirteenth year, G’Day USA has been successfully bringing together industry leaders and key influencers in government, business, tourism, academia and the arts to cultivate and enhance the Australia / United States relationship across these vitally important sectors.

Qantas, a brand in the USA that is synonymous with Australia are one of the major sponsor of the G’Day USA program. CEO Alan Joyce and senior Qantas staff hosted an exclusive VIP Welcome Reception Event at their brand new A380 hanger at LAX.

In attendance were Cinzia Burnes, executive director Helloworld Limited and Gregory Lording, group GM Helloworld Wholesale. Cinzia Burnes commented on the significance of the relationship between the US and Australia in the tourism sector.

“There are in excess of 680,000 Americans visiting Australia every year and they represent one of the highest per capita spends while on their holidays. It is terrific to be able to celebrate this great association at G’Day USA.” said Burnes.

“The USA is an important market to Australia and one that the wholesale arm of Helloworld, Qantas Vacations who are based in LA, continues to work towards growing.”
