AirAsia is offering up to 50%* discount on short and long-haul destinations across its extensive network.

Guests travelling long-haul can also take advantage of the discount when purchasing AirAsia X’s award-winning Premium Flatbed product.

Premium Flatbed guests will enjoy premium complimentary products and services including priority check-in, priority boarding, priority baggage, 40kg baggage allowance, complimentary meals as well as a pillow and duvet.

The discount is available on airasia.com and the AirAsia mobile app from 24 October 2016 (0001h, GMT +8) to 30 October 2016 (2400h, GMT +8) for travel between 9 January 2017 and 18 June 2017. For New Zealand the promotion is up to 30% off.

It covers flights operated by AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK), AirAsia Thailand (FD), AirAsia Indonesia (QZ), AirAsia Philippines (Z2), Malaysia AirAsia X (D7), Thai AirAsia X (XJ) and Indonesia AirAsia X (XT).

 

Emirates US$11 million makeover of its Business Class lounge

Emirates has completed a major makeover of its Business Class lounge at Concourse B of Dubai International Airport. The US$11 million refurbishment project took two years to complete and is part of the airline’s continuous investment to improve and upgrade its products for a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.

Emirates’ premium customers can now look forward to an enhanced lounge experience with three new distinct concept areas within the Emirates Business Class Lounge. The latest food and beverage concepts cater to diverse tastes and include a barista experience in partnership with Costa Coffee, a Health hub with Voss water featuring healthier options, and an exclusive Moët & Chandon champagne lounge.

The new offering is in addition to the seven other locations within the lounge with gourmet cuisine prepared by on-site chefs and a complimentary full bar service, which includes premium wine, spirits and champagne.

All the food and beverages offered within the lounge are complimentary for Emirates First Class and Business Class customers, as well as Emirates Skywards Platinum, Gold and Silver members – the airline’s frequent flyer programme.

Melbourne Airport unveils its vision for the re-development of International Terminal 2 (T2), set to enhance the journey for Melburnians and international travellers alike and deliver a vibrant precinct that mirrors the city’s world-renowned shopping, food and beverage and cultural experiences.

The T2 re-development will capture the character of Melbourne in a way that truly showcases the sophisticated essence of the city, continuing the Airport’s transformation journey, which started with the successful opening of the new T4 Domestic Terminal in 2015. With the aim of becoming the chosen international gateway into Australia, the project will deliver a customer-centric experience to better cater for the expected 13 million people that will travel through the Airport by 2024.

 

Seniors save with SkyBus

SkyBus, operators of Melbourne’s CBD to airport Express transport service, has today launched its new ‘Seniors Discount’ fare so that older Victorians can travel to and from Melbourne Airport for less.

A one-way SkyBus ticket from Southern Cross Station or St Kilda to Melbourne Airport will cost seniors (Victorians aged 60+ holding a Seniors Card) just $16, a reduction of 16 per cent on a standard SkyBus fare.
