World’s biggest Flight Centre store opens in Sydney

The new Sydney concept store marks the biggest in the world for Flight Centre.

Flight Centre’s new flagship store at 474-478 George St, Sydney was showcased to key suppliers and media with a bang last night and is expected to be one of the group’s top three grossing stores in Australia.

The store, which opened to the public a few months ago, showcases unique and different ways to interact with customers to draw them in, according to the group. One such method is the use of Virtual Reality (VR) which will rely on suppliers loading content onto the sets.

The group are also committed to investing in personalised consultations, cementing that people were their main asset and will firmly not be moving into an online stream of acquisition.

Other key initiatives include ‘mobilrones’ – aka standing desks, increased flexibility and working off laptops and mobile phones resulting in consultants being able to book travel even from the kitchen spaces.

The changes are expected to influence the way the agents interact with customers on experiential levels and more than just transactional.
