Qantas Frequent Flyer members have been able to earn points when booking a taxi or taxi-van with GoCatch since October 2015, but now they’ll also be able to earn points on GoCatch Rideshare.

Qantas Loyalty chief executive officer Lesley Grant said that given the growing trend for ridesharing services, this is another great way for Qantas Frequent Flyers travelling in Sydney to be rewarded on their everyday spend.

“Ridesharing is becoming increasingly popular in Australia and with over 11 million members, Qantas Frequent Flyers are no doubt contributing to the growth of this industry,” Grant said. “It’s important for us to respond to this trend and use it as an opportunity to offer our members another way to earn Qantas Points.”

GoCatch is a nationwide taxi booking platform and recently launched Australia’s first locally-owned ridesharing platform in Sydney. The service will be expanded to other major Australian cities in which ridesharing has been legalised.
