VIP agents shine bright like a Diamond on APT

Travel Weekly were guests of APT on board the AmaVenita from Amsterdam to Frankfurt.

In celebration of their top performing Diamond travel agency partners, the six days have been curated to thank the VIPs, whilst also showcasing some of the best inclusions of the cruise.

APT’s freedom of choice options have allowed guests to sample the classic draw cards of each location (including a canal tour of Amsterdam) whilst still giving new opportunities to return visitors – a trip to the charming village of Bonn was organized for those who may have already been to Cologne.

In addition to these rewards of travel, APT and Travelmarvel took their level of thanks one step further at a dazzling gala dinner awards night, hosted at 14th-century Namedy Castle on the banks of the Rhine River.

The personable Princess Heidi von Hollenzohern welcomed us to her home as she does for all guests on board a Magnificent Europe river cruise between Amsterdam and Budapest.

APT’s Asia Ambassador, the celebrated Chef and author Luke Nguyen (pictured taking this artistic shot) oversaw proceedings as MC, announcing the winners and keeping the guests entertained as they dined in the castle’s magnificent ballroom – “The Hall of Mirrors”. The exceptional acoustics of the room were put to great use with a piano performance from Althea Chan.

Winners included Phil Hoffman Travel who took home the award for Most Outstanding Sales 2015 Multi Location, Geelong Travel for Most Outstanding Sales 2015 Single Location and Sylvania Waters, NSW for APT’s Rising Star Award. Special commendations for Flight Centre Garden City, WA and RACQ Eight Mile Plains, QLD who were runners up for the Rising Star Award.

On the awards evening, Debra Fox, APT’s Executive General Manager, Sales and Marketing said “These awards tonight are to congratulate the winners, celebrate the wider success of our Diamond Agents, and also to say sincere thanks on behalf of all at APT.”

The following night agents were treated to a second celebration to mark APT’s 90th Birthday which falls in 2017, this time a 1920’s themed evening of glamour.
