The secret’s out about this tropical island destination
By admin

The Japanese subtropical island destination of Okinawa is seeking to grow awareness about its range of offerings for Australian tourists with the launch of a new video campaign.

In the first episode, we meet our host who describes Okinawa as a land of “beautiful beaches, fantastic food and warm-hearted locals.”

“But what makes Okinawa unique is the effect it has on people,” he says.

“These magical islands open your heart and care for your spirit.”

To showcase what it has to offer, Okinawa Tourism invited six people from around the world to experience the destination for themselves – each of them with a secret they have been keeping from their loved ones. Amid the breathtaking surroundings of Okinawa, liberated from the pressures of day to day life, they each become ready to reveal the truth.

Eric, who comes from Paris and who lost his job in the financial crisis, takes his wife to Okinawa and there they rekindle the romance in their relationship after a tough few years.

Musically talented Priscilla from Singapore heads to Okinawa with her parents to share her love of music with them.

Then there is Mara from Berlin who travels to Okinawa with her partner for one last trip before their baby is born.

From Shanghai, Lucy and her partner are recovering from the pressures of post-natal depression. They take their young daughter to Okinawa where they reconnect as a family.

In this video we meet fitness fanatic Pop and his cat-a-holic fiancée Fern from Bangkok who head off on a cat-inspired discovery of Okinawa.

Julie from Arkansas is the sixth visitor. She takes her father to Okinawa to take him out of his comfort zone and show him “the beauty of other cultures”.
