Celebrity Cruises price shake-up

Celebrity Cruises price shake-up

Celebrity Cruises down under is gearing up for some changes.

Celebrity Cruises has switched over to a new bundled pricing model effective 9 August 2015; commissionable for agents on the full fare when they upsell a package.

The new model which champions inclusivity and choice through three new fare levels: Go Big, Go Better and Go Best, applicable to each stateroom or suite category.

Both the line’s website and Espresso, the line’s new travel agent reservations system, will now reflect three fare choices when people are looking at oceanview and above stateroom and suite categories on most sailings.

Guests choose from a list of four items: a classic beverage package for two, prepaid gratuities for two, unlimited Internet for two and/or onboard credit of $150 per person for up to two people in the cabin.

  • Go! Big: Standard inclusion on all fares in Oceanview or above, Celebrity gives the first two passengers the choice of one complimentary extra
  • Go! Better: For an additional charge of AUD $20 per person per day, a choice of two extras is included
  • Go! Best: For an additional charge of AUD  $60 per person per day, all four extras are included as well as an upgrade to a Premium Beverage Package

“When you cruise with Celebrity, more is included as standard, so Go! Big, Better, Best is a win/win for guests and agents alike,” Celebrity Cruises Australia commercial director, Sean Treacy, said.

“The Go! Big, Better, Best pricing structure means we can now provide passengers and agents with a simplified offer that provides more value, minus the need to memorise promotion dates and codes.”

“Not only will agents have more opportunities to increase their commission when they upsell a package, we believe the simplified and inclusive pricing structure will entice new cruisers, providing business growth opportunities for our trade partners,” Treacy added.

Go! Big, Better, Best price packages apply to sailings that are four nights or longer, in an Oceanview Stateroom category or higher for sailings between October 2015 to April 2017. Conditions apply.
