All aboard for Bourbon

American Queen Steamboat Company (AQSC) has just released the itinerary of its Bourbon voyage.

The nine-day bourbon-themed cruise, to take place from July 4 to July 12, will grant guests an opportunity to behold the rolling bluegrass hills between Missouri and Ohio, where 95 percent of the world’s bourbon is made.

Highlights of the trip include distillery tours from the makers of Jim Beam and Woodford Reserve, among others, as well as on-board tastings and lectures by Buffalo Trace representative Don Flinn and author of Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey: An American Heritage Michael Veach.

“Paired with a July 4th celebration under the arch in St. Louis, we know the Bourbon itinerary will deliver an unforgettable experience,” AQSC’s President and COO Ted Sykes said. “The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is a fascinating slice of Americana embedded in our own backyard and we can’t wait to bring it to life.”

The Bourbon is a highly inclusive river cruise experience, with fares beginning at $2699 per person based on double occupancy. All journeys include a one-night pre-voyage hotel stay, shore tours in all ports and complimentary wine and beer with dinner.
