Wotif.com reveals 94% of Australians read reviews
By admin

Wotif.com has revealed that 94% of Australian travellers read reviews and nearly half (49%) always refer to hotel reviews before making an accommodation booking.

The study that surveyed 19,000 Australians also discovered that more than two thirds (69%) of Australian travellers say they are likely to overlook a negative review if the property’s management has addressed the issues raised.

Wotif.com product director Donna Rodios expanded on the finding by saying, “Most review readers are looking for positive comments and recommendations about the property from fellow travellers (90%), as well as gaining insights into the cleanliness of a property (84%) from reviews.”

“Of the 66% of respondents who said they write reviews, the most popular reason for doing so was to give credit where credit is due to the property (83%) or because they want to help others by sharing their experience (74%).”
