Papua New Guinea hosts successful Lukim expo
By admin

Papua New Guinea Tourism recently hosted travel trade and agents from around the world in Port Moresby for the PNG Lukim 2014 Expo.

Travel agents and buyers from Australia, Germany, US and UK spent the day at the Port Moresby Nature Park, where they engaged in productive B2B sessions with a group of Papua New Guinea sellers.

Attendees at the expo were lucky enough to meet some of Papua New Guinea’s famous Huli Wigmen of Tari Highlands and learn about the unique culture of the colourful warriors

The event aims to increase awareness of the destination, its tourism offering and change the perceptions of safety and access to further increase visitation.

The PNG Lukim Expo is an annual event for the Papua New Guinea Tourism Industry which brings together members, stakeholders, local operators, resorts and travel agents in Papua New Guinea.

Ahead of the expo, PNG Tourism Promotion Authority organized a Familiarization trip where the agents enjoyed a vast array of tourism opportunities on offer to travellers, showcasing the range that is “the PNG Experience”.
