The Travel Weekly Group has welcomed Daisy Melwani to the fold as associate editor, effective immediately.

Daisy will oversee the online editorial content specifically for Travel Today and The Nibbler, both leading titles in the travel industry media landscape.

“I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic team and to bring my voice across to these highly regarded titles,” Melwani said.

The appointment comes shortly after the announcement of a buyout of Travel Weekly Australia and B&T by the existing management team led by Travel Weekly’s editor in chief, Dan Uglow and B&T’s editor in chief David Hovenden.

The two titles will be housed in Uglow and Hovenden’s newly created full service agency, named The Misfits.

“Daisy brings a wealth of travel industry knowledge to the role, and we’re delighted to welcome her at this time of evolution for the group. She is the best known travel journalist operating in the business and a wealth of opportunities await,” Uglow said.

Daisy’s experience spans over a decade in the Australian travel industry as both editor and industry identity. To contact her, email Daisy.Melwani@cirrusmedia.com.au.

Kate Webster will continue to report for Travel Today and The Nibbler alongside her new position as Advertising and Content Manager for the group.
