Australian country singer Adam Harvey has teamed up with Captain Cook Cruises to celebrate this year’s Turn Sydney Harbour Pink event to support the McGrath Foundation.

Harvey will perform on-board the cruise ship Sydney 2000, while guests enjoy a two course lunch, drinks, and the chance to win a number of prizes, including a three-night Murray River Cruise for two.

P&O Cruises’ onboard security officer Dave Yates will soon be making a pilgrimage to the Western Front, joining in one of many ceremonies that are being held to mark the centenary of the start of World War I.

 Yates says he was inspired by the Anzac Day dawn services held on P&O Cruise ships, and will lay a wreath at the Pozi√®res memorial on behalf of Carnival Australia, which operates P&O Cruises.

To help travellers embarking on trips around the world, Holiday Inn Express has launched its Smart Index, a series of motion graphics that showcase seven different countries and the need-to-know aspects of travelling there.

The first episode focuses on Singapore, following the country’s 49th National Day celebrations on August 9, and will follow with episodes from South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, India, Thailand and the UAE.

“The series also aims to provide smart tips and highlight fun cultural quirks so guests can get the most out of their travel experience,” Holiday Inn director of brand management, IHG Lee Lin Teo said.

Air Tahiti Nui is offering savings of $150 on flights from Australia to Tahiti until October 5, with return economy airfares now prices from $1220.

The new fare is available for travel until May 31 2015, and incorporates the airline’s three weekly services from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to Tahiti via Auckland.

Scenic Tours and Evergreen Tours are celebrating the launch of its Scenic Rewards program by giving agents the chance to earn double Scenic Rewards points when they book a Scenic Tours South of France Luxury River Cruise between August 1 and October 15.

Agents will earn two points for every net dollar booked, valid on any Scenic Tours cruise and land combo tour, with points redeemable on a catalogue of over 4000 products and experiences.

Trafalgar has released its 2015 South America program, featuring 19 itineraries, including three new guided holidays and two new cruise extensions.

Each itinerary includes Trafalgar’s signature Insider Experiences, which offer travellers more authentic insights into destinations, and ranges from eight to 23-day trips to cater for all travel budgets and interests.

Solomon Airlines has launches its newly revamped website, becoming one of the first international carriers to use online customer service technology.

The new website has been designed for ease of access to information, and promises enhanced booking processes, more location based content and promotions, and expanded routes now services by the airline.
