MTA heralds another recruitment "coup"

Mobile Travel Agents continues to strengthen its business development team with the appointment of Sally Gorringe as manager of its Queensland, Northern Territory and South Australia activity.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Gorringe was most recently running her own business, before which she held senior roles with MSC Cruises and Insight Vacations.

Chief executive Don Beattie described the appointment as a “pure gold recruitment coup” for the home-based firm.

“Sally brings with her considerable travel industry knowledge and skill and having run her own business, she really gets the home working model so is ideal for the role,” he said.

In her new role, Gorringe will help to get agents interested in the home-based model on board and will guide them through the transition.

She officially takes up the position on March 13.

Her appointment follows that of Clare Kearns last month to the role of business development manager for Victoria and Tasmania.
