Adelaide-based Phil Hoffmann Travel has promoted Michelle McNamara to the position of general manager.

McNamara started at the agency in 1997 as a junior travel consultant before managing two Phil Hoffmann branches in Norwood and Glenelg.

"Throughout her time with us Michelle has matured from a first-time employee to a successful business leader," managing director Phil Hoffmann said.

 

Hahn Air has launched the Interline E-Ticketing with Sichuan Airlines for immediate sales use today.

Sichuan Airlines is a Chinese carrier hubbed in Chengdu and operates to Vietnam, Canada and Australia.

 

Fiji Airways will operate a second weekly flight between Christchurch and Nadi in July with further flights a possibility.

The carrier already has a year-round Sunday service and will add a Tuesday flight during the peak month.

 

London, Bali, Auckland, Bangkok and Singapore have been named by search site Skyscanner as the top five most popular destinations among Australian travellers in 2013.

Los Angeles, Dublin, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket and Paris complete the top 10 while Kochi, Zagreb, Lima, Sapporo and Cebu are the top emerging cities for 2014.

Research showed a 5% fall in domestic flights in 2013, with a 3% lift internationally.
