Details of its third annual American Explorer mega famil have been revealed by The Travel Corporation with 100 agents set to be rustled off to Los Angeles where they will begin a US adventure.

Departing March 25, the agents will experience a Creative Holidays itinerary followed by a Trafalgar, Contiki or Insight Vacations tour.

Agents will gain one entry into the draw for each Trafalgar, Contiki, Insight or Creative booking made until January 15 with winners to be announced weekly from mid-October 2013.

 

Viking Cruises has confirmed Andrew Schweitzer as its new business development manager for NSW/WA/ACT.

Schweitzer returns from two years as agency sales executive with the river cruise line’s London office to take up the new role.

 

Travel Insurance provider SureSave has appointed Talbot Henry as its new national sales director, with the company signalled a series of innovations are on the horizon.

"We are looking at our technology services and the implementation of improved tools," executive general manager Michael Callaghan said.

"Henry's experience in launching new products and cultivating strategic relationships will be a great asset to us over the coming years."

 

Air New Zealand has advised passengers that weather conditions have disrupted services in Wellington this morning with further disruptions possible in other parts of the lower North and South Islands.

The airline urged passengers to consult its website for further details or to call the contact centre on 0800 737 000.

 

Asia specialist Wendy Wu Tours has extended its deluxe offering to its India program in 2014/15, reporting a positive response to its Deluxe China Holiday and River Cruising program.

The new top-end range has a dedicated section in the brochure, with groups will have a maximum of 20 guests per tour.

Other additions to the program include three new tours and an additional Sri Lanka touring option called Cultural Northern Discovery 4.

 

Roaming-free mobile service provider HolidayPhone has appointed Emma Heimonen as its new chief executive.

Joacim Boivie, founder of HolidayPhone, will be staying in the company as a member of the board.
