Two TravelManagers business partnership managers (BPMs) have each just completed their latest road-trips which incorporated one-on-one meetings and lunch gatherings in regional New South Wales and Queensland.

For Melinda Rowe, who moved into the role of New South Wales/ACT BPM after fifteen years as a person travel manager (PTM) herself, the road-trip allowed her to take an up-close look at individual PTMs’ businesses and learn more about how she might support them.

Rowe spent a week on the Mid North Coast, during which she spent time with nine local PTMs on a one-on-one basis as well as enjoying lunch as a group. She was also joined by Sandy Allan, business development manager for APT, who made a day trip to Forster to host a group of PTMs for drinks and a product update.

(L-R) Sandy Allan from APT provided a product update over drinks for PTMs Jessica Honan, Laurin Taggert and Ashley McCarthy & BPM Melinda Rowe at Wharf St. Distillery in Forster, NSW

PTM Laurin Taggart was among those to meet with Rowe and attend the APT update, and said she appreciated having a BPM who can advocate for her and who truly understands the needs of regional based PTMs.

“I really appreciate Melinda’s commitment to understanding my needs, and providing tailored support to my regional business. It was great to have some quality time with Sandy from APT as well,” Taggart said.

Noree Kahika, who is TravelManagers’ Queensland BPM, followed a similar itinerary in Townsville and Cairns, where she met up with PTMs based in Far North Queensland.

(L-R) Lunch, camaraderie and a business update for PTMs Maria Manassero, Patty Poutanen and Amanda Doolan from FNQ

“I loved spending time getting to know my PTMs on a more personal basis and seeing how they are running their own successful businesses,” she reported.

“The fact that they are located in a tropical paradise is definitely an added perk of an already rewarding job!”
