Nib reveals brand refresh as global travel kicks off

Nib Travel has unveiled its brand refresh as COVID-19 travel restrictions continue to ease and international travel begins to ramp up.

Designed by Landor & Fitch Australia, the refreshed brand speaks to the strategic direction of Nib Travel and the Nib Group as a whole. The partnership with Landor & Fitch Australia saw the development of the new brand strategy, portfolio architecture, brand identity and brand voice and includes a new colour palette, photography style and the addition of illustrations created by Sebastian Curi.

Chris Donald, head of marketing at Nib, said: “Landor & Fitch Australia have created a fresh, warm and human brand for nib.

“It perfectly reflects what we’re trying to achieve as a business and a brand. We want to reach more people, help them better understand their health, the choices they can make and support them along their journey.

“In helping to reshape the Nib brand, Landor & Fitch have set us up to achieve this goal now and into the future.”

Launching the refreshed brand is well timed as the travel industry continues to show strong signs of recovery and the insurer continues to see greater success with the recently launched product suite that includes some cover for COVID related events.

Matt Endycott, national head of sales at Nib Travel, said: “It is exciting to see international borders opening and restrictions easing. We continue to see rapid recovery and demand for travel. Leisure travellers are escaping the cold Australian winter in lieu of warm European and North American summers.

“We’re also seeing strong demand for travel to Southeast Asia, and Fiji, with a steady continuation of domestic as some travellers opt to stay closer to home.”

According to the Australia Bureau of Statistics (ABS), there were more than 611,000 overseas departures during the month of April, an increase of almost 276,000 from the previous month.

The new brand has debuted at travel industry conferences and has been well received by the attendees, who represent a large portion of the major players in the travel industry.
